Personal Information

Ainsley Howard is the daughter of Adele Shaw and Boyd Howard. She is the oldest of three siblings, having two younger brothers Aidan and Murphy. With her mother being a French native, Ainsley speaks mangled French, though, she has at times been able to speak it fluently.

Ainsley spends most of her time wishing she was back in Dublin with her love interest, Brodie. Brodie and Ainsley had been best friends for most of their school lives, and at the point Ciaran decided it was time for his family to move to London, Ainsley confessed to Brodie that she was in love with her.

She likes to spend her time composing music, being a very accomplished pianist. Though she has not had any formal training or sat any exams, she has mastered many complex pieces. Though she does not perform publicly, Adèle is very proud of her achievements.

Her hair is usually never shorter than shoulder length, though occasionally she gets bangs cut in or, on one occasion, the hairdresser cut it so short she couldn't tie it up for the best part of a year.

Backstory

Ainsley was born in Dublin, and spent most of her very early years with both of her parents at their three bedroom home. Her brother Aidan was born in 1994, and though their father Boyd abandoned them shortly after his first birthday, their mother did her best to continue to make their life as normal and happy as possible.

When Ainsley started school in 1997, she met Bonnie Shaw, whose uncle, Ciaran, had just moved in with her family after losing his job in Belfast. Her mother met him one day while they were picking their daughter and niece (respectively) up from school and hit it off immediately.

She attended Dominican Convent Girls in Dublin for her primary schooling, and there she met Brodie Gibson in 1998 who she became fast friends with. Brodie was a year older than her and though they took a while to work it out, they were a little more than just friends. They spent a lot of time with one another in the early years, experimenting sexually without being completely aware of what they were doing. Ainsley completed her primary schooling at DCG, and attended the connecting intermediate school for 2004/2005.

Though this friendship was close for many years, when Brodie started at Wallace High School in August of 2005, Ainsley remained at DCGI. There, Brodie met Finn, and though she was beginning to become aware of how Ainsley felt, she started to date Finn, much to the dismay of Ainsley. Though they tried to maintain the friendship they had had prior to Brodie starting high school, it was a lot more difficult than they had anticipated. Furthering the separation, they spent a lot of time apart when Brodie was sent to America in 2006 to live with her aunt and uncle one summer. This tore Ainsley apart and upon her return she confessed to Brodie that she was in love with her.

Ainsley

Though admittedly drawn to Brodie, Ainsley has also had a few boyfriends, mostly two/three week long affairs with boys from her high school in England. They often found her attachment to Brodie unnecessary and overwhelming. Many of them also found it difficult to come between the apparent jealousy that existed between them.

Brodie did not deal with this well, and began to work through how she felt about Ainsley. As luck would have it, this drama was cut short by another event.

Ainsley has attempted to play in a few bands, being aware of quite a large range of musical genres and artists. And, though, incredibly creative, does not find composing compelling and prefers to appreciate other's works than create her own.

Her main interests lie in music and computer science. She develops small programs in her spare time, mostly to alleviate mindless and inane tasks. She plans to attend college once finishing high school in 2009 and study some form of software development. Her wide and varied knowledge in things she has not yet studied (but will develop at a later date) benefits her greatly and though not of much use to the world she hopes her inventions will become world renowned for saving time.

In June of 2007 Ainsley transferred to Regents Park Secondary School. She had only completed one high school year at Wallace High School. This was due to her stepfather's new job as a Film Company executive. The work he had been pursuing in Dublin was running out of higher avenues so the whole family uprooted to London.

Ainsley is half way through her first year at Regents Park (grade 10).
