Jacques L'Artaire

• Mother was Ludivine De Lorme, founder of De Lorme Weddings.
• Born November 30th, 1900.
• Married Astrid Henrie in 1935.
• They had their first child, Delphine in early 1938.
• Their second child, Valerie was concieved just before the outbreak of the Second World War and was born just after the war began in early 1940.
• The family managed to evade many of the goings on of the war, with Jacques being too old to fight and Astrid taking care of the small children.
• After the war finished, the couple tried to settle into normal life again, and they decided to have one more child in 1947, and Arnett was born in 1948.
• Jacques took on much of the responsibility of the family business after his mother died in 1925. The discovery that his sister was a prostitute caused much uproar within the family, and with Jacques being head of the family after his mothers' death (and his fathers' death during the First World War in 1917), the ultimate decision to hand the business over to Odette L'Artaire (the next female family member) was his.
• Discovered in 1954 that his wife had cheated on him and given birth to a son that was not his.
• Committed suicide not long after, at age 54.
