Juliette's older brother. Commits suicide in the mid-stages of the book. Is severely depressed but everyone in his family is too caught up in their own dramas to notice. Is, however, very fond of his sister, who he calls Emily (as a kid he was allowed to change the middle name, and refuses to call her anything but, unless forced).
