Melinda Markham-Gerding

Melinda is the daughter of Prudence Gerding and Felix (Cecil) Markham. She was born in 1932, and she is an only child. Despite the relationship status of her parents, they stayed together until Felix's death in 1985. Melinda had twins - Hallie and William, in 1954. Their conception was the result of a brief relationship between Hallie and her manager (she had a short lived film career in the early 1950s), who was killed by one of his clients not long after the children were concieved. Melinda raised the children on her own. She married Colin Barclay in 1962. The two lived happily for almost forty years, when Colin died unexpectedly in 2002. Melinda currently lives with William, his wife Alice, and their youngest son, Campbell.
