Primarily created and used in Dirty Life, but quickly migrated to a book for NaNoWriMo 2008 entitled La Fille de Coquin.

The L'Artaire family was the first family Alice invented. Though, technically, she didn't know it. Beginning with Ainsley and later including Adele and Etienne. Characters from the L'Artaire family currently consists of Adele, Etienne and Ainsley. Originally from France, some of them have moved to England, Ireland and other parts of Europe. The Markham section of the tree was closely linked to The Brooks Spectacular.

Side note: L'Artaire quite literally means to conceal the rear one. Take from that what you will. The origins of the name will be explored further at a later date.
