The L'Artaire clan was the first family Alice invented. Though, technically, she didn't know it. Beginning with Ainsley though later including Adele and Etienne. Characters from the L'Artaire family currently consists of Adele, Etienne and Ainsley. Originally from France, some of them have moved to England, Ireland and other parts of Europe. Currently, the branch of the family prominent in DL (including Adele and Ainsley) live in England. All of these guys are humans. Some of them dead, some of them alive. But all very, very human.

The Markham section of the tree was closely linked to The Brooks Spectacular. Here's the rest of the family tree.

Side note: L'Artaire quite literally means to conceal the rear one. Take from that what you will. The origins of the name will be explored further at a later date.
